I've always thought myself that wading birds were hard to read. They always give an impression that they are thinking about something. Evolutionarily, that's probably part of their fishing expertise ... they lull their prey to sleep.
People come to Sanibel Island from all over the world to view and photograph the wildlife, especially the birds. Sanibel has conserved much of the island in its orginal habitat, making great photo opportunities. I am not a photographer, but I carry a cell phone in my pocket or a small camera just for one of those 'kodak moments'. I hope you enjoy some of those moments I was able to capture.
