Umbrella Cockatoo

This is my friend Lexus, who is admiring a bowl of Sanibel seashells. He has also told them 'H E L L O' a few times!

Lazy Sanibel Afternoon

Here on Sanibel Island there are many racoons and you see them day and night.

Late one afternoon a couple of months ago, this racoon decided to hang over a log in the back yard to have a rest. He took a look up as the picture was taken, and then laid his head back down for a little while before getting up and walking on.

BIG Alligator in the Neighborhood

I looked out the window one afternoon, a few months ago, and saw this guy laying in the yard across the street. His tail was still in the road. I went out as far as the deck to stand and watch as a crowd gathered. One man had his son hold a measuring tape at the tip of the gator's tail while he measured it. I think that was just plain dumb. :-) It was 14 1/2 feet long. After a few minutes it stood up and walked a few steps before dropping back down on the grass. A few seconds more and he walked on past the house and into a lake at the Dunes Golf Course.
