(Sorry I'm late posting. I was out trying to round up a willing participant. :-) The parrot and the hat etc. is very real, the snow, thank goodness, is not. This was a rather long drawn out photo session. He loved all the attention and didn't mind the scrunchy I put around his neck, but he thought the hat was a game. Every time I put it on his head, he would shake it so it would fall off. I lost track of how many times I put it back on him. :-) He loved sitting on the Ho Ho Ho, so that wasn't a problem.
Lexi is all decked out to wish you a Merry Christmas!
If you would like to see a slideshow of all the out takes, just slide over to the right, on the side bar, and click on the link to my Lazy Days Blog. Have a wonderful Christmas, one and all!

very cute. How did you make the bird pose like this?http://perfectrn.blogspot.com/2008/12/frowning-faces.html
Ho Ho Ho too cute . I cannot imagine how you got the bird to wear that outfit.
This wasn't your normal 5 second camera shoot. I lost count of how many times I put the hat back on his head. He thought it was a game and as soon as I would put it on him, he would shake his head making it fall off. He liked sitting on the Ho Ho Ho, so that wasn't a problem and he didn't mind the scrunchy around his neck either. It took two people and one had to be really quick with the camera before the cap went flying. :-) He was actually pretty good about the whole thing.
Hard to tell if the snow and parrot are real. I'm assuming the former is but the later is photo shopped in.
It looks like the long photo shoot was worth it. Your final product is fun and a winner. Merry Christmas to you and your parrot.
Well done Tootie. A very good photo. I understand that parots are very intelligent. I wonder if this is so? - Dave
I would have loved to see him shake his head and you putting the hat back! Please could you take a video of it next time?? Have a nice weekend. Merry Christmas and a great 2009.
what a great photo! good job and thank you to the willing participant!
I do have a slide show of the whole event. I'll put it on my Lazy Days Blog, soon.
Robert the snow is the only thing that was added, the rest is part of the photo.
Cimba, he is very intelligent. He is smart enough to run the house and get everything he wants in a timely manner. :-)
