Here on Sanibel Island there are many racoons and you see them day and night.
Late one afternoon a couple of months ago, this racoon decided to hang over a log in the back yard to have a rest. He took a look up as the picture was taken, and then laid his head back down for a little while before getting up and walking on.

Oh gosh i love that last photo being so relaxed on a log, come check out my Casey almost in the same position
What great photos! :) I guess raccoons need to rest too.
He's just so relaxed. Very nice photos.
just hanging out ha
Lazy little raccoon! It looks too comfortable lying there.
Those are the best raccoon pictures. SoOO cute!
I love how laid back raccoons are. We have a huge one that sits in the big Elm tree off of our deck at night. When we come outside he just sits there watching us and giving himself a bath. I always get the feeling that we should do something interesting for him so he doesn't get to bored.
Love the second photo. All stretched out and relaxed.
hey mr raccoon!! love the photos. we've had raccoons in our neighborhood (we live in san diego! but lots of wild life here).. scared the kids on halloween!
The bottom photo is a hoot... he looks so laid back and relaxed. Wonderful post!
Hahahahaha that last shot is priceless. Life is rough being a raccoon, I guess ;-)
He sure looks comfortable! Great photos!
He sure didn't mind! Great capture! Thanks for sharing.
Holy cute photos!
I can't believe a raccoon would rest like that! Fantastic pic!
I've had days like that, where I just collapse on the couch!
Nice blogs. Your beaches are so nice looking. Unfortunately, where I live the beaches always get an "F" on their health and cleanliness report card from the water district.
What great photos..*wow*
Hi Tootie,
Thanks for the comment on my site. It is a beautiful place, as is where you live.
I'd love some new subjects to photograph. I use to visit Florida when my grandparents were still living. Didn't own a digital camera back then, darn!
You pup is so cute in costume.
